
Michael Hoffman
Broker-In-Charge / Executive Director - NC
Michael joined SVN in December 2015 as Executive Director/Broker-in-Charge of the Asheville office serving Western North Carolina. Michael began his real estate career in 1986 in Tampa, Florida where he worked for The Paragon Group, a privately held commercial real estate developer. The Paragon Group was later acquired by CBRE and Michael served as First Vice President, Asset Services, for more than 15 years until moving to North Carolina in 2011. Michael was a Senior Vice President with Colliers International in Raleigh immediately prior to joining SVN and moving to Asheville.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Muskingum University. He has also completed numerous professional development programs through The Lipsey Company. He currently holds real estate licenses in North Carolina and Florida. Michael brings the strategic focus, vision, and mature judgment gained during a successful career in commercial real estate resulting in a comprehensive understanding of the entire commercial real estate process.
Michael’s tenant and landlord representation experience grants him the distinct benefit and unique point of view of evaluating real estate transactions on behalf of the most distinguished corporate clients in the country. Client relationships included Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, Grant Thornton, LLP, and Quarles & Brady. In addition, he has worked successfully with many institutional asset owners, including Principal Financial Group, The Travelers and MetLife Real Estate Investments.
He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for his real estate expertise and success including the prestigious Co-Star Power Broker Award. Over the course of his career, Hoffman has been involved in real estate transactions totaling in excess of $1 Billion.
Hoffman is actively involved with the American Lung Association and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of the Southeast. He also serves on the National Chairs Assembly of the American Lung Association.
